Questions & Answers

Can I Bring My Spouse If They Don't Want To Attend Seminars?

Absolutely. Your partner is welcome to join you if you reserve a private room. There is a $2,000.00 fee, which covers all banquets, excursions, transfers, and cooking lessons.

Can I Come Early or Extend My Trip After The Retreat Is Over?

Yes!  In fact, we highly recommend you take advantage of being in Italy. We often have retreat members who arrive one week prior to the retreat, or stay for a week afterward. All we ask if that you either make your own way to and from Arcidosso or plan to gather at our pick-up and drop-off locations for our car service.

I Have Difficulty Walking For Long Periods Of Time. Is It Possible To Still Attend?

Arcidosso is a medieval city built on a hill.  There are many inclines that range from very steep to slight. If you are uncomfortable walking up and down hilly, stone-paved streets or ascending and descending stairs, this may not be the best option for you. We do provide front-door delivery to any retreat member that is unable to walk the incline to the house, however there are stairs in every location of the retreat.

I Have Diet Restrictions. Can You Accommodate Them?

In many cases we can accommodate diet restrictions. It is easy to eat vegetarian in Italy. Gluten free options can be found, but often do not include gluten-free pasta or bread. Anyone with nut allergies will need to inform Michele. Depending on the severity of your allergy, we should be able to accommodate your restrictions. Unfortunately, unless you decide to eat vegetarian, it is difficult for us to comply with Kosher or Halal diets at this time.

I'm Worried That I Will Not Enjoy Italy Because I Don't Speak The Language. Will That Be A Problem?

I think you'll find that many people in Italy speak English. Michele is fluent in both Italian and English and is there for you anytime you need assistance. Our past retreat attendees have delighted in ways that they were able to speak with the small shop owners in Arcidosso through hand gestures and facial expressions. One thing I can guarantee, it's hard to find an unpleasant person in our small village.

Do I Have To Read My Work Out Loud In Front of Others?

Only if you are comfortable doing so!  This retreat is organized to help you grow and expand as a writer.  However, if reading your work out loud in front of a small group of people terrifies you, the answer is no. We will never ask you to do something that frightens you.

How Do I Register?

Fill out the application, then PaPal a net deposit of $500 to info@eatpraywrite.net.  Link below for more detailed instructions.
